Impressed by her grace and strength, Raja Man Singh proposed marriage to Nini, who had three non-negotiable conditions: equal status with no purdah, permission to accompany the king on the battlefield and a separate palace with a continuous supply of water from the Rai river, which she believed bestowed her with strength and beauty. The king agreed and thus began the immortal love story that led to the construction of Gujari Mahal.

Gujari Mahal, constructed in the 15th century by Raja Man Singh, was built for his beloved queen, Mrignayani, a Gujar princess. The palace, strategically located near the Rai River, fulfilled her demand for a continuous water supply. Timing & Entry Fee

The Gujari Mahal Museum welcomes travellers and history enthusiasts from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays and all Government of Madhya Pradesh holidays.

The entry fee for Indian citizens is just Rs. 20, while for foreigners, it is Rs. 400. Photography and videography are also allowed for a nominal fee.
